About
The 2025 European Quality Assurance Forum, “QA in times of crises – Ensuring stability, autonomy and international cooperation in higher education,” hosted by Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary) on 12–14 November 2025, was focused on how quality assurance can strengthen resilience across the higher education sector and revealed the need for agile, integrity-driven and sustainability-focused approaches. It emphasized that academic excellence, international cooperation, sustainability, a strategic outlook and strong student engagement are becoming essential pillars of forward-looking QA systems in times of global uncertainty.
The Head of the T4EU Joint Quality Assurance Office Izabela Savickiene participated in the forum, engaging in exchanges that highlighted how university alliances both benefit from and help shape resilient QA practices at the European level. The sessions that addressed alliance-relevant themes showed how international partnerships serve as platforms for joint governance, co-created strategic and operational guidelines and cross-border educational models. Discussions also touched on collaborative approaches to developing micro-credentials and implementing integrated QA dimensions. Particularly noteworthy was the workshop “Co-Piloting Quality: Building Resilient QA Practices Across Borders,” which offered practical insights into building shared QA cultures and fostering mutual trust within alliances.
