On September 13, 2023, an Open Dual Lecture entitled „Medical Robots: An Opportunity for Doctors and Their Patients” will be conducted at the University of Silesia in Katowice. The initiative is organized within the framework of the Transform4Europe project.
Guests of the event will be:
- Prof. Zbigniew Nawrat – Creative Director in the foundation of Cardiac Surgery Development, author and main constructor of the Robin Heart – cardiac surgery robot
- Prof. Dr. Robertas Damaševičius – researcher, lecturer at the Department of Applied Informatics at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas.
The lecture will present the reality of working in the field of innovative medicine, how the way from idea to prototypes and products look like and how the science and business intertwines.
A unique perspective on the intersection of the field of innovative medicine with other disciplines such as psychology, computer science and robotics will also be presented.
The lecture will be held at RawaInk, 17a Teatralna Street, Katowice, on September 13, 2023, from 5.00–6.30 pm.
The lecture is part of an initiative called the Entrepreneurship School, which takes place at the Silesian University in Katowice from September 11–15, 2023.
The event focuses on teamwork among consortium students, and aims to build interdisciplinary teams to synergize competencies and skills.
The event will feature students from Saarland University, University of Alicante, University of St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University, University of Trieste, Vytautas Magnus University and University of Silesia in Katowice.
