USAAR Gender Equality Office
The gender equality officer offers advice to university employees, students and members of the LGBTQIA* community, on all relevant study and workplace issues (funding opportunities, balancing work-life commitments, discrimination, etc.).
USAAR Ambulance Service
The USAAR Ambulance Service offers medical, neuropsychological, and psychotherapeutic services to students and the broader public (treatment: depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, reactions to severe stress or traumatic experience, psychosomatic disorders and others).
USAAR Disability Support Service (KSB)
The Disability Support Service (KSB) part of the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Management Unit, supports students and teachers who face difficulties in their studies due to disability or chronic illness. The KSB offers consultation services to promote an inclusive approach to studying.
USAAR Family Office
The Family Office, part of the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Management Unit, provides advice and support for parents and caregivers. Trained guides for parenting and workplace caregiving ensure high-quality counseling services. On the Saarbrücken campus, we offer two daycare centers—one for students’ children and another for employees’ children.
USAAR Centre for International Students (ZiS)
ZiS helps incoming international students to become acquainted with university and university life by offering a selection of leisure and recreational activities, student mentors and a broad range of information material.

USAAR has a prominent music scene comprised of four choirs of different sizes and styles, from professional to amateur level. Additionally, the university has its own orchestra and jazz big band adding to the diversity of music culture in Saarbrucken.
USAAR University Sports
University Sports offers students and staff at the university around 600 sports and exercise programmes in over 70 different disciplines every year. Whether in regular courses, workshops or tournaments: The focus is on exercise, health, socialising and fun.
