Transform4Europe Stakeholder Challenge: Startup Weekend Saarbrücken 2026
Organised in cooperation with Triathlon, Saarland University’s integrated ecosystem for entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge transfer
13–15 November 2026 | Innovation Center, Saarbrücken, Germany
About
Saarland University is pleased to invite students from across the Transform4Europe Alliance to participate in the Transform4Europe Stakeholder Challenge 2026, taking place from 13 to 15 November 2026 at the Innovation Center in Saarbrücken.
The Stakeholder Challenge is one of Transform4Europe’s flagship formats, bringing together students, researchers and external stakeholders from across Europe to collaborate on a real-world challenge provided by a partner organisation. Over the course of three intensive days, interdisciplinary teams will work on practical business or societal challenges, applying academic knowledge and creative problem-solving approaches in a setting that closely resembles professional consulting and innovation projects.
This year’s Stakeholder Challenge is organised in cooperation with Triathlon, Saarland University’s integrated ecosystem for entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge transfer. Through startup consulting, coaching, mentoring, workshops and access to a strong regional innovation network, Triathlon supports students, researchers and companies from the initial idea stage to market-ready ventures and has contributed significantly to startup development and job creation in the Saarland region.
The Stakeholder Challenge will take place within the framework of Startup Weekend Saarbrücken, an internationally recognised innovation format powered by Techstars. During an intensive 54-hour experience, participants gain insights into entrepreneurial thinking, teamwork, innovation methods and startup development while connecting with mentors, founders, investors and other innovation-minded participants.
Application and Selection Process
The selection process will be managed individually by each Transform4Europe partner university. Students who are interested in participating are kindly asked to contact the local Transform4Europe office at their home university as soon as possible for information on application procedures and deadlines and selection criteria.
