On 27 and 28 October 2026, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” will host the international conference “Data-Centered AI” as part of the Transform4Europe Strategic Assembly. The event will bring together academics, researchers and experts from the T4EU partner universities. The programme will focus on the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in education and research, the European regulatory framework, explainable AI, data analysis and decision-making support. It will also address machine learning, big data and applications of AI in different fields, including health and societal challenges. The second day will look at the current state of AI across the Transform4Europe partner universities, its relationship with Open Science, and the results of a T4EU survey on the challenges and impact of AI in higher education. The conference will take place in the Aula of Sofia University’s Rectorate.
