Alicante Model of United Nations 2026

A Unique Opportunity for Transform4Europe Students

22-25 April 2026 | University of Alicante, Spain

About

The Alicante Model of United Nations 2026 (ALMUN 2026) invites students from the Transform4Europe Alliance to take part in an exciting international diplomatic simulation hosted at the University of Alicante from 22 to 25 April 2026.

Organised by students, for students, ALMUN celebrates its fourth annual edition, continuing a successful initiative launched by university students—mainly from International Relations and International Relations + Law Double Degree programme—who sought to bring the Model United Nations experience to Alicante following the example of leading European universities.

What is a Model United Nations?
A Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations, where participants act as diplomats representing different countries in international committees. Delegates debate some of today’s most pressing global challenges, negotiate with other delegations, and work towards diplomatic agreements adopted in the form of resolutions.

Through dialogue, argumentation, and cooperation, students experience international relations from the inside while engaging with real-world issues.

Why should Transform4Europe students participate?
For the Transform4Europe community, ALMUN 2026 represents much more than an academic event. It is an excellent opportunity to expand international networks and meet students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds, strengthen public speaking and debate skills, and develop key competences such as negotiation, leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking. Participants will also gain first-hand insight into international relations dynamics while discovering new academic and professional opportunities across Europe.

Participants will engage in six United Nations committees as well as a unique European Parliament committee, with different levels of difficulty available in English or Spanish, making the conference accessible to a wide range of students.
