The University of Silesia in Katowice invites applications for the Transform4Europe Summer School “Cooperating on Sustainable Future: from natural sciences to science diplomacy”, delivered as an Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme (BIP). The on-site part will take place in Katowice on 20–24 April 2026, preceded by a mandatory online component on 17 April 2026. You can check the draft programme by clicking here.

The programme is open to PhD candidates and early-career researchers from natural and technical sciences (STEM), as well as from social sciences and humanities related to sustainable development, international scientific cooperation, and science diplomacy. Relevant fields include, among others, political science, international relations, European studies, sociology, economics and management, international and European law, media and communication studies, science and technology studies (STS), public policy, ethics and philosophy of science, and cultural studies.Applicants are requested to submit an abstract of up to 350 words, including a description of the research problem, its scientific relevance, the represented discipline, and institutional affiliation. Participants will be selected through a competitive review process.
