Scientific events play a central role in contemporary science communication, providing opportunities for dialogue, participation, and engagement. Whether hosted in public squares, cafés, theatres, museums, universities, these initiatives create meaningful experiences that connect research with society and help institutions reach diverse audiences.
This course provides an overview of major public science events at the local, national, and international levels. Through examples and practical activities, participants will explore all stages of planning and managing a scientific event, from concept development to operational planning and evaluation. Special attention will be given to the role of events as tools for institutional communication, as well as to the design of effective communication strategies to promote and enhance initiatives before, during, and after their implementation.
