Open Applications for Visiting Professors at Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Universidade de Alicante
About
Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Portugal, and Universidad de Alicante, Spain, as part of the Transform4Europe Alliance (T4EU), have launched a joint call for two visiting professors on the topics:
1. Psychology, Education and Neuroscience;
2. Blue Economy, Biotechnology, and Entrepreneurship.
In the context of this call, the selected professors will participate in teaching activities at the two partner universities, conducting lectures/seminars in their field of expertise and employ innovative interactive approaches to engage their audience.
In addition to the teaching activities, the visiting professors are expected to actively engage in networking and explore potential collaborative research opportunities in areas of mutual interest to the sending and the host institutions as well as to the T4EU Alliance as a whole.
Selected professors are encouraged to engage with and/or reach out to the broader community by giving public talks, participating in conferences, organising workshops, etc.
The stay can last between 4 days and 1 month at each institution and can be spread over different academic semesters. The visits will take place during the Fall and Spring semesters of the 2026/2027 academic year, as well as during the Fall semester of 2027, provided that all activities are completed by 31 October 2027. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs will be funded by the host universities.
Candidates affiliated to educational and research institutions within or outside of the Transform4Europe Alliance are welcome to apply, regardless of the country of origin.
Those interested should submit the online application by July 31, including a detailed CV in English, a teaching and/or research working plan plan, a proposal for future collaboration with the Alliance, proof of employment at the home institution and letters of invitation from the host universities.
