About
As part of the T4EU alliance of European universities, which brings together universities with a shared vision for the future of higher education in Europe, the Department of UP FHŠ signed an agreement on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, to establish a mobility window with the Department of Foreign Languages, Literature and Translation at the Faculty of Humanities of Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania.
During the visit of Prof. Dr. Jurgita Macijauskaitė-Bonda, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Vytautas Magnus University, the agreement was signed by the Rector of the University of Primorska, Prof. Dr. Klavdija Kutnar, at a formal signing ceremony at the University of Primorska Faculty of Humanities.
On this occasion, we are also pleased to highlight that in April 2026, UP and VMU concluded an agreement on the establishment of a mobility window within the study programmes Primary Education (UP PEF) and Pedagogy of Primary Education and Early Foreign Language Teaching (VMU).
The signing of both agreements significantly strengthens the mutual cooperation between UP and VMU within the European alliance T4EU. Agreements enable reciprocal mobility within the framework of the mobility window for a duration of one semester. The mobility window forms an explicit and integrated part of the home curricula and study plans. The agreements represents an important step toward further integration of both institutions and the strengthening of international cooperation, student and faculty mobility, and the development of a common European higher education area.
They join two existing agreements that UP has within T4EU—with Saarland University (Master’s in Wood Innovation for Sustainability, UP FAMNIT) and with Jean Monnet University (Bachelor’s in Applied Foreign Languages – Bachelor’s in Intercultural Linguistic Mediation, UP FHŠ).
The T4EU Mobility Windows present a unique opportunity for students to go abroad during their studies. By matching similar study programmes across the Alliance and offering concrete mobility schemes with a selected set of courses, T4EU aims to encourage students to gain international experience during their degree.
