Católica welcomes T4EU's community in Lisbon for the T4EU Week
T4EU Week “Community, Communities: Engage to Transform”
25–29 May 2026 | Universidade Católica Portuguesa
About
“Community, Communities: Engage to Transform” is the topic of the next T4EU Week, taking place at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Lisbon, from 25 to 29 May.
Students, professors and staff from the members universities of the Transform4Europe Alliance are invited to participate in this event dedicated to the idea of a community of communities, where different groups are united around a shared purpose.
This week is built on a clear understanding of the university as an active and engaged actor within society. Beyond teaching and research, the university is understood as a space where knowledge is created, shared and applied in close connection with its surrounding territories, contributing to a more sustainable, digital and socially cohesive future.
The theme “Community. Communities” expresses this vision and defines the role of universities within Transform4Europe: to strengthen a shared sense of belonging across the academic and institutional community of the Alliance, while remaining deeply engaged with diverse local and global communities, using knowledge to address real-world challenges and act as a transformative force in environmental, digital and societal contexts.
The programme, to be announced, will include three thematic courses, reflecting the core transformation areas of T4EU. The days will be divided, with the mornings dedicated to joint sessions that bring all the participants together, while on the afternoons participants will engage in practical, applied and community-specific activities.
The Week will conclude with a collective moment of exchange, where ideas, experiences and outcomes emerging from the different communities are shared and discussed, reinforcing T4EU’s commitment to educating knowledge entrepreneurs capable of connecting knowledge with action and contributing to our common future.
“Community, Communities: Engage to Transform” will also be an opportunity to learn more about Católica, Portuguese culture and the T4EU alliance as a whole.
