The Transform4Europe (T4EU) alliance has approved its first Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, a milestone that reinforces the commitment of all participating universities to building a more inclusive and equitable higher education system.
The strategy, approved by the T4EU Executive Committee—composed of rectors and vice-rectors from the participating universities—has received full support from day one. This endorsement has been key to the success of the work led by the University of Alicante and reflects the shared commitment of all institutions to integrating diversity as a core element of their university policies.
The strategy is structured around three main pillars: disability, gender equality, and the fight against discrimination in general. Each of these pillars includes specific measures aimed at fostering diversity and ensuring an academic environment where everyone feels represented and supported.
The process that led to the approval of this strategy began with organized inclusion events, which have now become part of the annual agendas of all T4EU universities. This journey continues with new initiatives, further strengthening the commitment to inclusion and diversity as fundamental pillars of European higher education.
