The Mariupol State University Centre at the University of Silesia was officially opened on 22 October 2024. The event is yet another step in the collaboration between the University of Silesia in Katowice and Mariupol State University, the associated partner of the Transform4Europe Alliance.
The Centre is to take actions to strengthen and foster collaboration between the two universities in terms of science and education, as well as support the Ukrainian community in Silesia.
The agreement regulating the Centre’s operation was signed during the opening ceremony by Prof. Ryszard KozioĆek, Rector of the University of Silesia, and Prof, Mykola Trofymenko, Rector of Mariupol State University.
Strengthening the collaboration with Mariupol State University was one of the main keystones of the T4EU Presidency held by the University of Silesia in Katowice.
