Estonian Academy of Arts Now Among the World’s Top 100 Art and Design Universities

The Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA), a member of the Transform4Europe Alliance, has been ranked 92nd in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026: Art & Design, rising from the top 150 into the global top 100.
“There is no better way to celebrate my first year as EKA’s rector,” says EKA’s Rector Hilkka Hiiop. “Our inclusion in the QS list of the world’s top 100 art and design universities confirms what I have observed over the past year—EKA is full of extraordinary people.”
The QS rankings assess more than 6,000 institutions worldwide, based on academic reputation, research performance, and international collaboration. EKA’s result highlights its strong engagement in international networks and the recognised quality of its teaching and research within the European higher education landscape.
