Universidade Católica Portuguesa in cooperation with Transform4Europe (T4EU) have just launched a brand-new Programme for First-time Researchers, taking place online and in-person, in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 17th to 21st, 2025.
Throughout five days of intensive training, participants will engage in a wide range of seminars, masterclasses, and hands-on activities delivered by experts from Católica and the T4EU alliance.
The “First-time Researcher Programme” is a hybrid-format training initiative which aims to integrate transversal skills, specialised knowledge, and career development opportunities.
Especially designed for PhD students, this programme will draw on expertise from the 10 member universities and align with the T4EU’s mission to foster excellence, inclusivity, and mobility across diverse scientific fields.
“Challenges to research freedom, security, and integrity”, a Masterclass on Research design with Idea Puzzle, Seminar on International academic writing, Sessions on Mental health and a Masterclass on Leadership and Entrepreneurship are some of the highlights of the inaugural programme.
