'I’ll Do It Tomorrow': The Psychology of Procrastination
T4EU Mental Health Students’ Workshop
3 June 2025 | University of Primorska, Slovenia
About
Procrastination is the intentional delay of tasks, even when we’re aware that this delay may lead to negative consequences. It’s not always about poor time management—sometimes, even with solid planning, we find ourselves avoiding tasks simply because they feel unpleasant or overwhelming. One common result of procrastination is stress, and together, these two can become persistent patterns, especially in the context of studying. One of the most effective ways to break this cycle is through mindfulness.
In this workshop, we will explore a brief theoretical background of procrastination, practical strategies to manage it, and how mindfulness can support emotional regulation and improve focus.
