About

Saarland University organizes the Online Workshop ‘Good communication in international contexts’, within Transform4Europe’s Transformational Leadership Programme, on 12 November 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. via Zoom.

This interactive workshop with communication specialist Suzanne Whitby focuses on developing key communication skills and building a strong feedback culture among staff, peers, and teams. Participants will explore how to adapt their communication style to different contexts and individuals.

Through practical exercises, participants will learn how members of effective teams communicate: with clarity, empathy, and mutual respect. Another central part of the workshop is learning how to give and receive feedback constructively.

Whether offering guidance to a colleague or receiving input on your own work, feedback is a powerful tool for growth and connection. While cultural differences may influence communication, the workshop emphasizes strategies that help overcome misunderstandings and foster collaboration regardless of background. By reflecting on communication habits and engaging with others, participants will gain confidence in navigating challenging conversations and speaking effectively in group settings. With a hands-on format, the workshop session will include lots of interaction, individual and group exercises, time for self-reflection, and rich discussions.

To register, send an email to t4eu@ucp.pt until 5 November 2025
As the workshop is highly interactive, the number of places is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. English skills at B2 level are required.
