Double degree Programme in Artificial Intelligence

The University of Allicante’s collaboration with the University of Trieste and Jean Monnet University

About

As part of the Transform4Europe Alliance, the University of Alicante (UA) has announced the creation of a new double degree master’s programme in collaboration with two prestigious partner universities: the University of Trieste (Italy) and Jean Monnet University (France). This innovative programme will allow students to obtain two official degrees simultaneously, strengthening their academic and professional profile in the field of artificial intelligence.

The recently signed agreement with the University of Trieste establishes a double degree programme set to begin in the academic year 2024/25. Participants will earn a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence from UA and the Laurea Magistrale (LM) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from the Italian university, along with a joint supplementary diploma. This collaboration is designed to enhance international mobility opportunities and promote student internationalization.

A similar agreement has been established with Jean Monnet University (France), which will also commence in the academic year 2024/25, allowing more students to benefit from this double degree by earning a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence (UA) and a Master’s in Computer Science, specialising in Machine Learning and Data Mining (MLDM).

As part of these agreements, three students from the University of Trieste will begin taking courses at the University of Alicante starting in September 2024, marking the beginning of this collaboration. Additionally, three students from UA will also go to Trieste, and another three will head to France. These students will have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and experiences at partner institutions, developing a global perspective on artificial intelligence and its applications.

These programmes reinforce the commitment of the Transform4Europe partner universities to academic innovation and international cooperation, providing the Alliance’s students with the opportunity to access quality education in a global and multicultural environment.
