University of Silesia in Katowice is organizing Open Dual Lecture and is looking for one academic Professor from partnership University, to be entrusted with a lectureship activity at the University of Silesia in Katowice on the 13th of September 2023 (Wednesday).
The lecturer must prove first-hand competency and a solid background in the entrepreneurial aspects related to one of the three focus areas of the Transform4Europe:
- Digital transformation and smart regions;
- Environmental transformation and sustainability;
- Societal transformation, community building and inclusion.
Previous relevant lectureships or speaking in conferences will be evaluated.
Within the scope of the Transform4Europe project, the lecturer will visit the University of Silesia in Katowice and hold a lecture on the following topic: Medical robots an opportunity for doctors and their patients.
On behalf of University of Silesia in Katowice, the professional will be:
- Zbigniew Nawrat – Creative Director in the foundation of Cardiac Surgery Development, author and main constructor of the Robin Heart – cardiac surgery robot
The lecture will present the reality of working in the field of innovative medicine, how the way from idea to prototypes and products look like and how the science and business intertwines.
The University of Silesia in Katowice will grant an attendance remuneration of 500€ and will cover the travel and accommodation expenses for the day of the lecture.
The lecturer must be nominated by a partner university that will submit the documentation by e-mail within the deadline of 28th July to the address transform4europe@us.edu.pl using the nomination form.
