Description

This seminar with a European focus explores the future of tourism and the dynamic changes occurring in the market of tourist services. Topics include the influence of demographic shifts, advancements in health and transportation, and the role of new technologies in shaping tourism. We will examine trends such as sustainable development, safety concerns, and the importance of evoking emotions in travel. The course also delves into emerging forms of niche tourism, including glamping, voluntourism, culinary tourism, thanatourism, and many other types of tourism, alongside their unique tourist spaces. A critical analysis of environmental factors and restrictions for tourists will complement discussions on modern sources of market information.

The seminar will be organised as an online seminar during the first half of the semester, the sessions of the second half of the semester will be offered in a hybrid format.
