About
The Transform4Europe Alliance’s Annual PhD Conference ‘Societies on the Move: Challenges of Today, Prospects for the Future’, will take place on 1–2 April 2025 in Sofia, Bulgaria, hosted by Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski at the UNITe Center of Excellence.
This event invites PhD students, early-stage researchers, and outstanding MA students to present innovative research and engage in academic exchange. The conference will address key societal issues, including political and economic crises, climate change, and the impact of artificial intelligence.
The topics reflect Transform4Europe’s strategic focus areas: societal transformation, digital advancement, and environmental sustainability. The programme includes keynote speeches, collaborative discussions, and networking opportunities, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and cross-border cooperation.
We are pleased to welcome over 40 participants from across the Transform4Europe partner universities.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation issued by the Alliance universities. Following a scientific review process, selected papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
