About
The T4EU Professional Development Programme for administrative staff is a structured training initiative designed to enhance the skills, competencies, and adaptability of university administrative and support personnel. The professional development needs of the T4EU administrative staff were identified by conducting an extensive benchmarking survey across the partner institutions. Based on the data obtained from benchmarking activities, the most beneficial training themes for the administrative staff were identified. The themes are:
- Digital transformation
- Team building skills
- Time management and productivity
- Psychology resilience skills
Based on these identified training needs, the following online training sessions and webinars were developed and carried out:
Team Building and Conflict Resolution
- Organizer: Universidade Católica Portuguesa
- Instructor: João Matos
- Instructor: João Matos (Universidade Católica Portuguesa). He is Professor at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics since 1995, having as main interests negotiation, conflict management, interpersonal communication and persuasion, topics he is been addressing in executive training for a vast array of Portuguese and international companies.
- Description of the webinar: The webinar will enable participants to understand that conflicts are not always a negative thing to be avoided at all cost. In fact, conflicts are a natural and unavoidable part of any team, arising from the perception of contradictory interests between the parties involved. It has a negative side, which may result in resentment, stress, and distrust, but there is also a positive side which may result in higher productivity, greater sensitivity to the other party’s interests and better communication.

Artificial Intelligence tools in practice

- Instructor: Albena Antonova is PhD and a senior assistant professor at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. She has participated in numerous projects on topics such as knowledge management, e-learning technologies and digital transformation in education, new technologies in teaching and learning, smart services, gamification, Gen AI and others.
- Description of the webinar: This webinar offers short practical training. It briefly introduces general theoretical models, explaining the benefits and challenges of using AI tools. It then provides multiple examples of practical applications of AI to enhance administrative efficiency, data analysis and communication. Also it explains how AI can enhance communication through personalized outreach, social media management, and language translation services.

How to manage goals and priorities in everyday flow

- Instructor: Anna Gramberg is a professional career coach, certified career specialist and trainer. Currently this includes supporting individuals in career transitions, employees in planning their career development. She has conducted workshops and training sessions for professionals, leaders and teams on topics such as career management, better self-awareness and work-life alignment, how to plan professional development and navigate changes, how to conduct career conversations with employees.
- Description of the webinar: During the webinar we would like to find the answer for some questions: where is the real challenge? Is it the matter of setting or achieving goals? Is it the matter of what methods and approaches to use, how to better manage workload, your focus & energy (cognitive aspects) and/or work-life alignment (work & life roles and goals)? We are going to see what is every participant’s biggest challenge in setting goals and priorities. We are going to see different examples of goals and priorities setting approaches and models (e.g WOOP, Eisenhower matrix, focus management and shaping the rhythm of working life). During the webinar we will try to learn how to design working life (e.g work-life roles design, job crafting).

Skills for a Balanced Life: Mindfulness, Resilience and Healthy Lifestyle

- Instructor: Rocío Juliá-Sanchis is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Alicante. She teaches the subjects „Community nursing, mental health, psychiatry and ethics“, „Practicum XI: Nursing care in mental health and community intervention“ of the Nursing Degree“, and others; Silvia Escribano is a Professor at the University of Alicante and a researcher in the Person-Centered Care and Innovation in Health Outcomes group. Her research activity is mainly developed in the thematic areas of health and well-being, and teaching innovation at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Stress reduction techniques: Using cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques while being kind to yourself
- Organizer: University of Silesia in Katowice
- Instructor: Monika Stojek, PhD, ABPP, Maryla Sokołowska
- Instructors: Monika Stojek, PhD, ABPP, is an associate professor and the director of the Trauma, Health and Eating (THRIVE) Lab at the University of Silesia in Katowice. She has over 15 years of experience as a therapist in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in the USA. Lecturer Maryla Sokołowska is a doctoral student at the University of Silesia in Katowice. In her dissertation project, she experimentally examines the effectiveness of a self-compassion intervention.
- Description of the webinar: Participants will learn to approach daily challenges through the lens of the cognitive-behavioral model. They will learn how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are intertwined. They will practice examining their thoughts and being compassionate toward themselves. The main aim of the webinar is to learn and practice evidence-based cognitive-behavioral (CBT) techniques as a stress management skill.
