Ciao!
The University of Trieste is a secular, pluralist, public institution of higher education which is independent of any ideological, religious, political or economic orientation. It is in accordance with the principles of the Constitution of the Italian Republic and with the international commitments Italy has undertaken in the fields of scientific research and university education.
The main objectives of the University are scientific research and higher education, in order to promote the cultural, civil, social and economic development in the Italian Republic. The University acknowledges that teaching and research are inseparable and that both, where applicable, are inseparable from healthcare services.
University in a nutshell
Location
The main University campus is located in Trieste (Piazzale Europa 1) on a high point overlooking the city. The historic building overlooking the city and other more recently constructed buildings form a true university campus, which is home to offices, classrooms and laboratories for almost all the degree courses offered.
Since 1989, there has been a campus in Gorizia, situated in the former Minor Seminary, which has been appropriately renovated and expanded.
In 1991, another campus was established in Pordenone, on Via Prasecco 4/1.
Since 1997, the University has a campus in Portogruaro, province of Venice.
