Introducing Aquamatics

The first New Synergy Track in Water Management

About

We are excited to announce the launch of Aquamatics, a brand-new Synergy Track focused on the Interdisciplinary Management of Water Environments. This innovative program is a collaboration between academic experts from the University of Silesia in Katowice, Vytautas Magnus University, and the University of Trieste, aiming to address the urgent need for specialists in water science.

Aquamatics is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of natural, social, and technical sciences, law, and engineering related to water resources and environments. The program responds to the growing demand for highly qualified professionals who can develop strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change through effective water management.

Students will embark on their educational journey either in Katowice or Kaunas. In the second semester, they will come together to study in Poland, followed by a semester in Lithuania. Finally, students will complete their thesis at their initial university. Upon successful defence, graduates will receive a double diploma from the University of Silesia and Vytautas Magnus University.

The Aquamatics program is set to begin in the academic year 2025-2026, offering a unique opportunity for those interested in making a significant impact in the field of water management.

The new Synergy Tracks are part of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters initiative funded by the European Union.
