The Alliance’s initiative on Joint Programmes for a European Degree
6 February 2025 | Jean Monnet University, France | Workshop
About
As part of the T4EU initiative, UJM ’s assignment is to coordinate the implementation of joint bachelor and master’s programmes between T4EU members with automatic academic recognition. Partner universities are collaborating during workshops lead by UJM to meet the ambition of at least 10 new joint programmes by the end of the project in 2027.
These workshops focus on designing joint programmes with the goal of obtaining a European label or a European degree. As a reminder, the European Commission has introduced measures to implement two types of certifications recognized across the European Union:
- The European degree: A new qualification embedded in national legislation, awarded jointly by multiple universities, and automatically recognized.
- The European label: A European certificate in addition to national diplomas awarded by each partner university.
