We invite academic staff, researchers and PhD students of Transform4Europe universities to participate in the Open Lecture ‘Data protection and research’ by Marten Juurik (University of Tartu, Estonian Research Council). The online lecture will be held on April 26, 11.15–13.45 CET (MS TEAMS).

The lecture covers the basics of personal data protection regulations, highlights issues that are relevant for research and offers advice on how to consider data protection principles in the research design. The target audience is researchers with minimal or no prior knowledge of data protection.

Lecturer Marten Juurik is a junior researcher of ethics at Tartu University, one of the authors of Tartu University’s ‘Guide for data protection in research’ and has been teaching communication and information ethics and data protection for several years.
