Lecture Corpus Linguistics

Learning objectives/competencies: Acquisition of basic corpus-based methods for synchronous and diachronic linguistic inquiries with special consideration of variation linguistics, text science, stylistics, contrastive linguistics, sociolinguistics, language typology, and language change. The module provides skills in corpus-based analysis, including the construction, representation, annotation, and querying of text corpora.
